Welcome the newest addition to Alum Bryan Mariscal’s family

Brandyn Ismael Mariscal (DCI class of 2032) was born on February 3rd, 2011 at 5:21pm. Brandyn came into the world weighing 6′ 12 ounces and 19″ long. Baby and mom are doing well. And as for dad, after a month with a newborn…..he should be remebering the good old days on the gym floors of little sleep but always ready to perform on a moments notice. Congratulations, and welcome to the family Brandyn.

Alumni Update – Feb 2011

The first alumni meeting of the year commenced this past Saturday (2/12/11).  Here are a few items we discussed for those of you who couldn’t make it out.

  • A $200 scholarship from the Peggy Haggin Volunteer Memorial Fund will be given out to a volunteer from the 2010 season to be used towards that volunteers choice member of the 2011 season. Being that this is geared toward a volunteer, we will be giving Bob Alvarez (2010 volunteer of the year) the opportunity to assign the scholarship. This scholarship money was gathered with the 2010 "Maze" challenge coin sales spearheaded by fellow alumni Howard Hsu.  We will be coming out with a 2011 challenge coin, the  design is currently in the works.

Year-End Gifts to Pacific Crest

Are you making your list? Checkin’ it twice? If you’re thinking of a last-minute gift to Pacific Crest, we’ve made it convenient for you to make that gift online. While the Organization’s budget is $580,000, tuition makes up only $300,000. The remaining $280,000 comes from other sources, and we rely on donors to help make up a significant portion of that funding gap. We hope you will consider a holiday gift to Pacific Crest to help us close out the year "in the black." To make your gift, click here.

2011 Production Announced!

Pacific Crest is excited to announce our 2011 production: Push, Pull, Twist, Turn.

Program Coordinator Dale Leaman describes it as "a program that melds music with the movement of body and form into a four-movement suite."

The Design Team has spent the past six weeks discussing a variety of concepts, and the music guys initiated the process by listening to dozens of musical sources. "There’s been a ton of activity — phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings, and we’re all fired up about the show," said Executive Director Stuart Pompel.
