JOSEPH HERNANDEZ is a percussionist and educator based in Southern California. He has performed in a variety of ensembles, including OCI, Gold Drum & Bugle Corps, The Academy Drum & Bugle Corps, Elan Percussion, and Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps, where he aged out in 2014.

In addition to teaching at a number of Southern California high schools, Joseph is on staff with Élan percussion. He currently attends Fullerton Community College, and plans to transfer to university after earning his AA degree.

JORDAN WARFIELD is a School Services Sales Representative at Groth Music in Bloomington, MN, where he services over 80 school programs in the Greater Minnesota and Twin Cities areas.

In 2002 he began teaching the Irondale High School Marching Knights Band (New Brighton, MN) as a horn line technician. During his time the Knights appeared regularly as BOA St. Louis Super Regional Finalist and received numerous area contest championships and caption awards. Currently Jordan is the low brass music instructor and visual staff member for The Eastview High School Marching Band (Apple Valley, MN). Jordan marched with the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps from 2001-2004 from and returned to instruct on the visual staff from 2010 to 2015. In 2004 The Cavaliers toured Japan as Yamaha Guest Artists performing at exhibition concerts, parades and stand still performances for over 50,000 people. His previous affiliations include: The Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, Minnesota Brass Incorporated Drum and Bugle Corps, The Govenaires Drum and Bugle Corps and various high school marching programs in Minnesota and Wisconsin. He has been an clinician and adjudicator since 2010 throughout the Midwest and on the East coast with USBANDS judging visual and music captions respectively.

Jordan studied Tuba and Percussion Performance at the University of Wisconsin River Falls where he participated in various ensembles and appeared in several honors recitals and ensembles.

He and is wife Jennifer currently reside in Edina, Minnesota.

Francis Sefton

FRANK SEFTON was raised in Thousand Oaks, California, and attended Westlake High School. Frank’s six years of drum corps experience was spent entirely at Pacific Crest, where he marched the 2010-2015 seasons. While at Pacific Crest, he served as both the contrabass section leader and horn sergeant. He is honored and excited to have the opportunity to return to his home team to give back to the community that helped him grow so much as a young man and work with the best students in Southern California.

Frank is currently a graduate student at Oregon State University pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in Music. He graduated summa cum laude from OSU in June of 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. Francis was the recipient of both the Eugene D. Slayter Instrumental Music Education Scholarship and the Alice Carey Dilworth Award in acknowledgment of his outstanding academic achievement. While at OSU, Frank has had the honor of studying tuba with Issac Andrew and JáTtik Clark and music education under the great minds of Dr. Christopher Chapman and Dr. Jason Gossett.

As an educator, Frank has served as a music and marching teacher at several Southern California high schools including Westlake High School, and Thousand Oaks High School. He served as a low brass instructor at Gold Drum and Bugle Corps for the 2016 season and maintains a private tuba studio in Corvallis, Oregon. He is a member of NAfME and Kappa Kappa Psi. In his free time, Frank enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Kristen, their cat Bella, and hiking on the beautiful trails of the Pacific Northwest.

Brianne Kikuchi

BRIANNE KIKUCHI is an instructor in the Southern California area.

Brianne was a member of Pacific Crest in 2011 and 2012. She also performed with the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps in 2014, Pulse Open in 2012 and Pulse Percussion from 2013-2015.

Brianne is currently on staff at Diamond Bar High School and has been a part of the Pulse Percussion organization since 2016.

Jenna Carsello

JENNA CARSELLO has been an athlete since she was five years old. Her first sport was soccer. She later joined gymnastics, tumbling, track and field, trampoline, and rugby over the years.

Jenna attended McHenry County College, where she graduated as an Emergency Medical Technician. She has been an EMT since 2014. In Fall of 2016, she completed fire academy with the Wonder Lake Fire Department.

Jenna currently works for A-Tec Ambulance and Wonder Lake Fire Department. She is completing her fire science associates degree at McHenry County College.

Michael Kirkbride

MICHAEL KIRKBRIDE has been a marching, music, and movement educator across the West Coast for 10 years, as well as a freelance bassoonist​ & composer. A five-year alumni of Pacific Crest (2004-2009), he went on to teach the Seattle Cascades for three seasons, where he led the visual program in 2012. He also taught at The Academy in 2016.

Michael is currently working for the Neonatal ICU at Children’s Hospital of Orange County. He teaches at Workman High School in Southern California.

Michael went to Portland State University for Psychology and Music Theory & Composition. He then spent the next two years studying Martha Graham technique.

After almost a decade of being away from Pacific Crest, he’s excited to return to his home team!
