Snare Instructor

BRANDON GEDALJE, at the age of 15, began his drum corps career playing snare drum with the Concord Blue Devils “B” Drum & Bugle Corps (2008-2011). He continued on to perform with the Blue Devils “A” Corps (2012-2014). He served as section leader for both corps. Brandon was also a member of the 4-time WGI championship RCC Drumline in 2012.

Not limited to competitive drum corps, Brandon Gedalje also performed as member of BD Entertainment – a nationwide network of performers that supplies entertainment for professional sports teams and companies such as Pixar Studios, Nike, and Twitter.

In addition to teaching the percussion section at Valencia High School in Valencia, CA, Brandon is also a clinician for System Blue.

Chris McCoy

Baritone/Euphonium Instructor

CHRIS McCOY began his drum corps career in 2000 as a member of the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets. In 2002, he performed on euphonium with the Santa Clara Vanguard. Then in 2003, he helped bring drum corps back to his home town of Modesto as a charter member of Fever, where he performed until aging out in 2005.

In 2006, Chris served as the Fever’s Brass Caption Head. The corps’ last year of operation was 2007. He then went on to teach brass for the Sacramento Mandarins in 2007, and served as their Brass Caption Head from 2009 through 2011.

Chris is an active member of the instructional community of the Central Valley and has worked with a number of high schools, including Beyer, Ceres, Modesto, Johansen, Davis, Los Banos, and Lynbrook. His work has spanned a variety of captions, from visual instruction, to teaching brass and percussion, to arranging and composing. Chris has also composed at the college level, most notably the University of Arkansas, Conway.

Chris is the co-founder of Impact from Ceres, CA, a WGI Independent A class percussion ensemble, where he serves as Arranger and Program Coordinator He is completing his degree in Music Education from CSU Sacramento, where he studies Trombone with professor is Mr. Joel Elias, and performs with the University ensembles and BD Entertainment.

Cymbal Instructor

PABLO RODRIGUEZ spent his high school years performing trumpet in the concert band and snare drum in the marching band. He first played cymbals as a member of Pulse Percussion in 2009, and went on to perform with the RCC Marching Band and RCC Indoor Percussion (2010 – 2014). He spent the 2012 season with The Arizona Academy Drum and Bugle Corps, where he received the Outstanding Cymbal Player Award presented by The Avedis Zildjian Company.

Pablo teaches at a number of local high schools, including Rancho Cucamonga, Riverside King, Upland, Sierra Vista, and Rowland. He also serves as a cymbal instructor for RCC Marching Band and the RCC Indoor Percussion program.
