REGGIE HUMPHREY currently serves as the Assistant Director of Bands at South Forsyth Middle School in Cumming, Georgia. The band has been honored numerous times for their performances, including performing at the Georgia’s Music Educators Conference, University of Georgia’s Middle School Concert Festival, the Troy Southeastern United States Middle School Honor Bands Clinic, and winning best performing ensemble at the Festival of Disney contest. During his time so far at SFMS, Mr. Humphrey has started both a jazz and chamber ensemble program.

Mr. Humphrey is a graduate of the University of West Georgia with a degree in Instrumental Music Education. During his undergraduate career, he studied trumpet and conducting privately with many outstanding musicians like, Dr. Chip Crotts, Dr. Joshua Byrd, and Mr. Michael Lanier of the Chicago Civic. He was appointed principal positions in various ensembles and also asked to be a regular soloist with the universities Wind Symphony. During student teaching, Mr. Humphrey spent his time at McEachern High School in the Cobb County School District where he studied with Mr. Jeff Harper and Mr. Alfred Watkins.

Highly involved in the marching arts, Mr. Humphrey has taught on the educational staffs of the Phantom Regiment, the Troopers, and Spirit of Atlanta. He is currently the Brass Ensemble Specialist for the Pacific Crest Drum & Bugle Corps. Mr. Humphrey is also an active adjudicator and has served annually for the ISSMA organization and state level music educators associations. He is a regular clinician in the Forsyth and Cobb County areas in Georgia.

Currently, Mr. Humphrey serves in the organizations of National Association for Music Educators, Georgia Music Educators Association, and Phi Mu Alpha.
