SANTIAGO SABADO is from Placerville, California. He holds his Master’s Degree in Instrumental Wind Conducting, a Bachelor’s of Music in Music Education and Trumpet Performance, and a Teaching Credential in Music from Sacramento State University.

Santiago is currently the Director of Music for Pioneer Union School District in Somerset, California, where he teaches K-8 classroom and instrumental music. He also serves as the Vice President for the Capitol Section of the California Music Education Association (CMEA).

Santiago’s performance experience includes the Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps from 2006-2009. He played lead trumpet his first year and served as Drum Major from 2007-2009. After aging out, Santiago joined the Mandarins staff, where he has held positions in both visual and brass captions. He currently is the brass co-caption head for the 2015 season.
