Snare Drum Instructor
MATT REGUA began drumming at age eight, and by 17, was performing in the snare line with Pacific Crest. He would continue with PC for three years, and was the percussion section leader in 2005. Matt went on to perform with the Blue Devils in 2006 and 2007.
In addition to drum corps experience, Matt performed in Winter Guard International with the elite Riverside Community College ensemble from 2005 to 2009, and served as its section leader during his final two years. In 2009, he was awarded the coveted WGI Scholarship for his academic excellence.
Matt has performed professionally at Disneyland, SeaWorld, and for the NBA’s Lakers and Clippers. He’s also performed at Universal Studios Japan and in a variety of corporate events and television shows, most notably American Idol’s 2011 season finale. In 2008, he was selected for the Top Secret Drum Corps in the South Africa Tattoo festival, and performed for the NBA All- Star game in 2011.
Matt earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering, minor in Materials Engineering, from California Polytechnic State University. He is currently a Chemical Engineer at Neutrogena and resides in Lakewood, California.
